Phases of the Moon

Throughout the term we have been learning about the Moon, Its orbit and its phases. We have been learning a lot about the Moon and its phases and the different phases it goes through like the New Moon, Waxing Crescent, First quarter, Waxing gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous , Last Quarter, Waning Crescent and New Moon again. Each of  these phases happens when the Moon is on certain angle in its orbit and the light from the Sun hits and reflects of it causing us to see more and more of it every twenty nine and a half days. 

I think that it was very fun learning all the Moon phases throughout the term and teaching others about them to. At morning tea and lunch every one would be talking and discussing the Moon and its different phases and about after a week of learning about the Moon and its phases everybody in the Kia Manawanui Syndicate Knew what the phases of the moon are and how they work.
